The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reports on a Department III working paper examining possible mismarking fraud in mutual funds. Together with Prof. Vladimir Atanasov and Prof. John Merrick from the William A. Mason School of Business, William & Mary, we examine whether mutual funds use the very intransparent market for structured products to artificially increase the value of their funds.
