Technical committee management of application development and maintenance of the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI)
WIUS is actively involved in the Technical Committee for Application Development and Maintenance Management of the German Informatics Society (GI). The Technical Committee provides a central exchange platform for stakeholders from academia and industry who deal with issues of software product management, project management and process models.
Our contribution includes research, the organisation of conferences and the publication of a newsletter to disseminate current research results. The aim of our involvement is to promote dialogue between scientists, decision-makers from the field and young professionals. In this way, we create a forum in which participants can exchange ideas on the current state of research and practice in the context of digitalisation and the software business and learn from each other.
The following colleagues from WIUS are involved in the technical committee:
- Prof. Georg Herzwurm heads the technical committee,
- Dimitri Petrik and our alumnus Andreas Helferich act as spokespersons for the product management group.
Through this commitment, WIUS is helping to bridge the gap between science and practice in the software business.
