Prof. Dr. Joachim Niemeier, born 1955, studied technically oriented business administration at the University of Stuttgart focusing on organization, planning and informatics from 1975 to1980. He worked as a research associate at the institute for business management for Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Bierfelder (predecessor of Prof. Dr. Reiß) at the University of Stuttgart from 1980 to1984. He lead the management division at the Frauenhofer-Institute for industrial engineering and organization (IAO) from 1985-1995. From 1995 to2005 Prof. Dr. Niemeier was director of T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH in Dresden. Since 2006 he works as an executive consultant at Centrestage GmbH in the areas of enterprise 2.0 und social business in Esslingen. Since 1984 he is an assistant professor and since December 2004 also a honorary professor at the chair for general business administration and organization at the University of Stuttgart. Prof. Dr. Niemeier is a member of various commodity teams and project groups.

Prof. Niemeier‘s core competences are management, service engineering, business process management, business excellence concepts, internet- and multimedia-applications as well as e-learning.
