In his research, Christian Mahringer focuses on how organizations can master the digital transformation. In this context, he examines how actors promote agility, change and innovation to overcome barriers and take advantage of opportunities. Moreover, he assesses the role that organizations play for grand challenges, such as climate change. Empirically, he uses qualitative methods and the analysis of digital trace data in digitized settings, such as software development.
